About Saikaku
Under the concept of savoring Sichuan cuisine is to taste the history of Sichuan itself, Chef Okubo achieves the authentic flavors by generously using chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns in "宮保鶏丁"(stir-fried chicken with the spiciness), and "回鍋肉" (Twice-Cooked Pork) with the skin on.
The menu mainly features home-cooked dishes that have evolved from everyday cuisine, such as "麻婆豆腐" (Mapo Tofu) and "担々麺" (Tantanmen).
He tries to create an approachable dining to spread the charm of Sichuan cuisine.

Posted on : 01/07/2024Easily the best meal my family and I ate on the trip. It was such a treat not knowing what dishes were to be served, and the owner/chef did not disappoint. We took our time and enjoyed every course, which also gave us time to enjoy each other's company. Would whole-heartedly recommend Saikaku to anyone visiting, and hope to return one day!
